The Hong Kong Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Awards 2022 presentation ceremony was held today, during which Acting Financial Secretary Michael Wong presented the Award of the Year to the Airport Authority

Apart from winning the Smart Mobility Grand Award, the authority excelled seven other grand award category winners and achieved the highest accolade.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Wong stated that the Hong Kong ICT Awards has served as a perfect platform on which local ICT innovators can make themselves known to the industry and gain greater exposure to the Mainland and overseas markets.

Pointing out that innovation and technology (I&T) provides strong impetus for economic growth, Mr Wong said the Government is working on an I&T development blueprint to be announced before the end of this year.

“Again, it is a very important document for the future of Hong Kong.

“It will set out the future major policy directions and also set out how we are going to get there with all the supporting measures etc. We are talking about not just five to 10 months, but about the coming five to 10 years.

“So when it comes out, please do pay attention to it and give us your valuable opinions.”

Mr Wong added that he looked forward to working hand-in-hand with all members of the industry and the community at large to press ahead with the missions to chart Hong Kong's way towards an international I&T centre.

Secretary for Innovation, Technology & Industry Prof Sun Dong presented trophies to the eight winners of Grand Awards to commend their outstanding performance.

The Hong Kong ICT Awards aims to recognise and promote outstanding local ICT inventions and applications.

Details of this year’s winners are available online.
