Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Kevin Yeung today visited the Hong Kong Sports Institute (HKSI) to learn about Hong Kong athletes’ preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
Accompanied by the Commissioner for Sports Sam Wong, Mr Yeung toured the fencing hall, the table tennis hall, the fitness training centre and the swimming complex at the HKSI.
The officials exchanged views with athletes and coaches, learning about their training arrangements and the support provided by the HKSI. They encouraged the athletes to give their best performances in the games.
Mr Yeung said he hoped that participating Hong Kong athletes will perform well in Paris. He also encouraged them to interact with athletes from other delegations while in Paris, with a view to demonstrating their sportsmanship and telling people about Hong Kong.
The Paris Olympic Games will be held from July 26 to August 11, and the Paralympic Games from August 28 to September 8.
