The Innovation, Technology & Industry Bureau announced today the setting up of two Hong Kong Cross-boundary Public Services self-service kiosks in Shenzhen.
The self-service kiosks give enterprises and residents in Mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area one-stop access to more than 60 Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government services without the need to travel to Hong Kong in person.
The services from 11 government bureaus and departments as well as related organisations, encompass areas commonly used by enterprises and the public, including taxation; company registration; property and vehicle enquiry and registration; personal identification documents and applications for talent entry; welfare and education; healthcare; immigration clearance; urgent assistance; and culture and tourism.
Members of the public can use the self-service kiosks to perform data entry, document scanning and result printing tasks.
One of the kiosks is located at the Shenzhen Municipality Qianhai e-Station Government Service Center, which is available for use from 9am to noon and 2pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Another kiosk at the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science & Technology Innovation Co-operation Zone e-Station Comprehensive Service Center can be used from 9am to noon and 1pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Both kiosks are closed on public holidays.
In addition, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer has set up an iAM Smart self-registration kiosk at the two centres to enable Hong Kong residents working and living on the Mainland to register for or upgrade to iAM Smart+ and enjoy convenient online services.
The bureau said it will continue to collaborate with the Guangdong Provincial Administration of Government Service & Data to discuss setting up more self-service kiosks in the bay area.
