Financial Secretary Paul Chan will depart tomorrow for Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting.
Taking place from January 20 to 24, this yearâs meeting, themed âCollaboration for the Intelligent Ageâ, covers topics such as rebuilding trust internationally and within societies, identifying new sources of growth in the global economy, investing in human capital development, safeguarding the planet, and transforming industries.
Throughout the week, the Financial Secretary will attend and speak at several keynote meetings, lunches and dinners. He will also meet political, business and financial leaders to brief them on Hong Kongâs situation and on its advantages and opportunities.
Mr Chan will arrive back in Hong Kong on January 25. During his absence, Deputy Financial Secretary Michael Wong will be Acting Secretary.
