Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) President Jin Liqun delivered a talk jointly organised by the Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau and the Civil Service College today.
Some 100 senior civil servants and staff from the bureau's Working Group on Integration into National Development participated in the talk.
Mr Jin shared his insights on the latest developments of the global economy, the current challenges and growth opportunities in the future.
He also spoke on how the AIIB promotes sustainable economic development in the region through supporting member economies in investing in infrastructure facilities, and the role Hong Kong can play in the process.
Also at the talk, Acting Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Joseph Chan noted that Hong Kong has been participating in the AIIB’s work since it became a member of the bank in 2017.
He said the city will continue leveraging its strengths as an international financial and business centre to further support the AIIB's work to contribute to the construction of infrastructure facilities in the region.
