Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Christopher Hui will depart on a visit to the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal tonight, and will return to Hong Kong on June 8.
The visit is aimed at promoting Hong Kong's vibrant fintech scene, as well as Web3-based financial innovation.
Mr Hui will hold bilateral meetings with senior officials in all three countries.
He will also meet leaders of financial institutions, and representatives of the local fintech and business communities, in Amsterdam, Madrid and Lisbon.
During Mr Hui's visit, Under Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Joseph Chan will act as Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury.
