Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Kevin Yeung today attended the opening ceremony of a cultural and tourism exchange programme in Haikou, Hainan.
Mr Yeung noted that the programme, held by the Hainan Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Film, Television, Publications & Sports this year, is a major annual event tailor-made by the Ministry of Culture & Tourism to facilitate exchanges between Hong Kong, Macau and the Mainland.
He said: “The programme serves as an exchange platform for industry players in Hong Kong, Macau and the Mainland.
“Through seminars, exchanges and visits, not only can representatives from Hong Kong get a better understanding of the country and its rich cultural tourism resources, industry players in the three places can also build stronger bonds and explore collaboration opportunities.”
