
Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Christopher Hui will depart for Thailand tomorrow for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Finance Ministers’ Meeting (FMM) in Bangkok.
Mr Hui will participate in discussions at various FMM sessions on October 20 and hold bilateral meetings with other officials attending the meeting.
He will also meet relevant industry associations as well as enterprise representatives to promote the opportunities of setting up family offices and venture capital investments in Hong Kong.
The financial services chief is scheduled to speak at an executive roundtable luncheon and the Thai-Hong Kong Trade Association’s anniversary dinner.
Mr Hui will return to Hong Kong on October 22. During his absence, Under Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Joseph Chan will be Acting Secretary.
